Traditional resumes are important, but we want to learn more!
Our one way video interview acts like a video resume and is a chance to
showcase who you are and what you’re about, beyond what’s on paper.
Every company has a different hiring process; for us, each role could look a little different! However, in general, as an ER2 candidate you can expect the following…
Also, we know that with the rise of AI, many worry that a real person never actually looks at their application — not here! Every candidate is individually evaluated by our hiring team throughout each stage of the process. While not all applicants will move forward to every step, we believe in taking the time to intentionally review each one to find the best fit for our organization.
step 1
Submit your application. This includes your resume and answering any required application questions (i.e. re: background check, previous experience/certain skillset). Once submitted, you will receive a confirmation email letting you know we received your application and that your resume is now under review by our hiring team.

The next step in our process is a brief (like… super brief! only 5 questions!) “About YOU” one-way video interview. All applicants must complete this step in order to be considered further. We get a ton of applicants, but unfortunately, not many of them are willing to put in any additional effort to get the job. However, that’s the “normal” applicant, and we hope that isn’t you! Ultimately, we just want to learn a little bit more about you.

Next is our short “Strengths Assessment.” This assessment helps us better understand your natural strengths, communication style, and how you may fit within the role and team. It’s quick and simple — typically taking around 10 minutes to complete — and gives us a more complete picture of you beyond just a resume.

If the hiring team decides to continue after reviewing your video interview and strengths assessment, the next step will be a phone interview with a member of our team.

Following the phone interview, the next step is a Computer Literacy & Internet Knowledge (CLIK) assessment. This assessment takes about 13 minutes and helps us understand your comfort with everyday tools like web browsers, email, chat, and word processing. A score of Proficient or Highly Proficient is required to move forward in the hiring process.

The next step is an interview with additional members of the hiring team. At ER2, it’s important to us that the hiring process is collaborative and that multiple team members have the opportunity to get to know you, provide feedback, and help determine overall fit for both you and the team.

Depending on the role, the next step may include a lunch or dinner meeting and/or time with the team to job shadow or test your skills.
